Your notes stay in your browser

Note Zero is a frontend-only notepad. It does not send note titles or content to a Note Zero backend.

What is stored

Your notes, collections, selected note, and theme preference are stored in localStorage under this website's browser origin.

What is not collected

Note Zero currently has no accounts, cloud database, advertising, analytics, tracking pixels, or AI integration. Notes are not used for model training.

Imports and exports

Imported files are processed inside your browser. Exported HTML and JSON files are created locally and downloaded through your browser.

Deleting data

Moving a note to Trash keeps it available for restoration. Choosing Delete permanently removes it from Note Zero's saved state. Clearing this website's browser data removes all locally stored notes.

Backups

Browser storage is not a substitute for a backup. Device loss, browser profile removal, storage restrictions, or clearing site data can remove notes. Use the JSON backup option regularly.
